Situated on Beishan in the northern part of Linjiang City, the park offers picturesque scenery and serves as a great place for spring outings, summer retreats, hiking, morning exercises, and patriotic education. The park retains lush forest vegetation, with natural secondary forests harmonizing with man-made woodlands. While climbing towers for panoramic views or strolling around, visitors can not only appreciate the grandeur of nature but also feel its serene warmth. From Songtao Pavilion, the full modern urban landscape of Linjiang City is laid out before your eyes; the pavilions nestled deep within the woods are ingeniously designed, naturally integrated, and elegantly styled, blending beautifully with the surrounding mountain contours and tree canopies. The park offers various tourism services, including a zoo, fishing pond, and a tourism catering and retail service area. At the heart of the park stands the “Four Defenses of Linjiang Monument,” built through public fundraising by the Linjiang Municipal Government and local residents to commemorate the victory of the Four Defenses of Linjiang Campaign.

In October 1946, in an attempt to dominate the entire Northeast, the enemy adopted a strategy of “first the south, then the north; defend the north while attacking the south” and launched a large-scale offensive against the Changbai Mountain base area centered on Linjiang. From December 17, 1946, to April 3, 1947, the enemy attacked the Linjiang region four times but was repelled each time by our brave soldiers, leading to the famous victory of the “Four Defenses of Linjiang” campaign. Over 40,000 enemy troops were annihilated, and five counties including Ji’an and Huinan were liberated. The victory halted the enemy’s strategic offensive in the Northeast and forced them onto the defensive, while laying a solid foundation for our army’s eventual triumph in 1948.

The “Four Defenses of Linjiang Monument” features a tower-like structure symbolized by four flags representing the four defenses, clad in red marble to signify that revolutionary achievements were forged with the blood of martyrs. Each flag represents a victory in defending Linjiang. The highlight of the monument is the seven gleaming golden characters “Four Defenses of Linjiang Monument,” inscribed by —, bold and graceful, reflecting the unyielding spirit of the older generation of revolutionaries and their hope that the people of the old revolutionary base will carry forward and uphold their legacy. The flag tower is surrounded by a platform with stone steps, symbolizing the hard-won nature of the revolution. Towering pine and cypress trees encircle the site, symbolizing that the revolutionary martyrs remain forever young and alive in the hearts of the people.
