The Weisha River Reservoir Area is located in Weishahe Town, upstream of the Yunfeng Reservoir. It is 18 kilometers from Linjiang and 65 kilometers from the Yunfeng Dam. The river here is up to 1,000 meters wide, with an average depth of over 30 meters. The vast expanse of blue water blends seamlessly with the surrounding mountains, where waterfowl glide beneath the surface and fish and shrimp play. The river water is crystal clear, with shimmering waves that are truly enchanting. It is especially rich in carp, bighead carp, and spring-spawning fish. Lush green mountains stretch along both banks, densely forested, with tree branches dipping down to the water’s edge. Clear springs cascade down the valleys, while the blue sky, white clouds, and dramatic cliffs are mirrored in the water, creating a breathtaking scene that forms a uniquely picturesque landscape known far and wide. In particular, an artificially excavated canal dock is considered a marvel of mountainous regions in northern China, captivating and amazing visitors from both home and abroad. Weishahe Town is located in the southwest of Linjiang City, in the middle and upper reaches of the Yunfeng Reservoir Area. The town government is 27 kilometers from the municipal government seat. It spans 126°33′ to 126°48′ east longitude and 41°40′ to 41°52′ north latitude. To the east it connects with Dalizi Town, borders Badaojiang District to the west, neighbors Huashan Town and Jiangyuan County to the north, and is bounded by the Yalu River to the south, facing Zhongjiang County and Changchengli, Tuchengli of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea across the water.
