The site is adjacent to Qidao Gully Village. Based on the terrain of Qidao Gully, there is a secondary terrace running east-west. The eastern side of the terrace connects to the mountain range, while the western side borders the Yalu River. It is no more than two hundred meters wide from north to south, and the modern village is situated on it. Less than a hundred meters to the south lies the Yalu River, while to the north is a flat river valley floodplain, most of which has now been converted into paddy fields. The Qidao Gully River runs through the floodplain. The Qidao Gully Site is believed to be a settlement from the Goguryeo period. It provides new insights into the distribution of the Goguryeo people along the Yalu River.
