Yangmu Reservoir

Yangmu Reservoir is located at the source of the Liao River, 14 kilometers from the city center and 80 kilometers from Changchun. It is the largest reservoir in the city. The reservoir area covers a water surface of 10 square kilometers with a shoreline of 25 kilometers. Surrounded by rolling mountains on both sides, the area boasts beautiful scenery and a sound ecological environment. Since its construction 10 years ago, it has attracted 500,000 visitors, laying a solid foundation for tourism.

The specific development plan includes the creation of three scenic areas: First, the Ecological Tourism and Sightseeing Area below the dam. This consists of nine attractions: a development zone plaza, a conference and reception center, an eco-economic forest, an economic animal farm, a flower viewing area, a fishing zone, a swimming pool, a dining street, and antique-style office buildings. Second, the Water Leisure and Sightseeing Area, which features 13 facilities including an imitation ancient city tower, corridors, pavilions, a parking lot, flower stands, wooden cabins, pleasure boats and motorboats, parasailing, jet skis, an archery range, dance halls, and a general store. Third, the High-Quality and Efficient Agricultural Base Sightseeing Area upstream. This includes eight ecological sightseeing spots: aquatic plants, fruit and forestry crops, grain crops, vegetables and melons, rice, oilseed crops, mountain delicacies, and garden flowers.
