Faku County Cultural and Sports Center

The Faku County Cultural and Sports Center is located in Donghu New Town, boasting a pleasant environment and convenient transportation.

The cultural and sports center covers an area of 60,629 m², with a total construction area of 29,633 m². The total investment amounts to 260 million yuan, including 160 million yuan for the main structures and auxiliary facilities, and 100 million yuan for land acquisition and demolition.

The Faku County Cultural and Sports Center is a multifunctional comprehensive cultural and sports facility that brings together various venues. The public cultural activity center consists of the Shengshan Library, Lingshui Cultural Center, Baihe Grand Theater, TV station, Children’s Palace, and Women and Children’s Guild Hall, covering a construction area of 23,611 m². The National Fitness Center occupies 6,022 m² and houses a tennis court, basketball court, badminton court, table tennis court, and fitness center. It enables comprehensive utilization and resource sharing, providing services not only for the county's public cultural and sports activities but also offering specialized cultural spaces for the development of the cultural industry, exhibition business, cultural product exchanges, as well as women and children’s education and training.

The center was designed by Shenyang Urban Design Group Co., Ltd., constructed by China MCC22 Group Corporation Limited, and supervised by Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone Xincheng Construction Management Co., Ltd. Construction began in August 2011. Currently, the Children’s Palace, TV station, and Cultural Center are already in use. The library is undergoing interior renovation and is expected to open in June. The Baihe Grand Theater is in the process of interior decoration design. The outdoor landscape engineering of the center is progressing rapidly—the greening work has been completed, and the lighting and hard-surface projects are still underway.

The cultural and sports center is a comprehensive service venue integrating cultural leisure, mass entertainment, national fitness, and various types of training and competitions. Its completion is a major joyous event in the lives of Faku residents and a tangible project that benefits the people. It has elevated the quality and service level of Faku’s public cultural and sports facilities, further meeting the cultural and fitness needs of both urban and rural residents, and stands as a milestone in the cultural and sports history of Faku County.
