The twin pagodas were built during the Qian Tong era of the Liao Dynasty. The two pagodas are 50 meters apart, with the western pagoda approximately 24 meters tall and the eastern one about 10 meters high. Their structures and carvings are largely identical. The carvings on the pagodas are exquisitely detailed, with dignified forms, vivid imagery, and diverse postures. The surrounding scenery is extremely beautiful, with undulating mountains, lush greenery, and dense forests of mulberry and cypress trees. It is now listed as a Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The two pagodas, one large and one small, stand opposite each other to the east and west, 50 meters apart, presenting a majestic sight with cliffs and steep rock faces everywhere. The pagodas are ingeniously designed and beautifully shaped. Despite the passage of time, their grandeur remains intact to this day. The larger pagoda (eastern pagoda) is 19 meters tall, built of brick, with an octagonal nine-story hollow dense-eave structure, each side measuring about 2 meters. The base is very low, standing only 2.4 meters high. The smaller pagoda (western pagoda) is located 50 meters southwest of the larger one, standing 10 meters high. It is a hexagonal five-story dense-eave brick pagoda, sharing the same structure, shape, and carvings as the larger pagoda. It currently has five tiers of eaves, with the main body largely intact, though the top has fallen off. The fact that the Miaofeng Temple Twin Pagodas have been preserved to this day in such good condition is truly remarkable.
