Gao'er Mountain Ancient Pagoda

The ancient Liao Dynasty pagoda of Gao'er Mountain is located within Gao'er Mountain Park in Shuncheng District, Fushun City, and is a provincial-level cultural heritage site. Originally built in the year 1088, after nearly a thousand years of weathering and erosion, the Gao'er Mountain Ancient Pagoda still stands proudly and uniquely dominates the landscape. It is the oldest existing pagoda in the Fushun area, standing 14.10 meters tall with a diameter of 6.8 meters. The entire pagoda is octagonal in shape, featuring an eight-sided, nine-tiered dense-eave structure. The ancient pagoda boasts a simple and classic design with a rigorous layout, fully reflecting the ingenuity and superb craftsmanship of ancient Chinese artisans. Not far from the pagoda, on the mountainside, lies an ancient temple named “Guanyin Pavilion.” This temple stretches across the hillside, forming a picturesque scene with the pagoda atop the mountain.
