Office workers often don’t have time to cook, but actually many dishes can be prepared very quickly. Scallion-Garlic Shredded Pork is one of them—learn how to make it now, so even if you just get home from work, you can still enjoy a hot meal in no time.

Ingredients (for 2 people) | 10 minutes
300g shredded pork
7 scallions
5 garlic cloves
1 chili pepper
1 tbsp soy sauce
Salt to taste
Chicken powder to taste
A little sugar

Marinade
Half an egg (beaten)
1 tbsp rice wine
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil
A little white pepper

Directions:
1. Marinate the shredded pork with the marinade ingredients for about 10–15 minutes; cut the scallions into sections (try to separate the white and green parts as much as possible).
2. Heat oil in a wok, stir-fry the pork until about 70% cooked, then remove and set aside.
3. Add the garlic, chili pepper, and white parts of the scallions to the wok and stir-fry until fragrant.
4. Add the pork and the remaining green scallion parts, stir-fry briefly, then drizzle in 1 tbsp of soy sauce from the edge of the wok. Sprinkle a little salt, chicken powder, and sugar for seasoning, and it’s ready to serve.

Tips
1. Since this is a stir-fry dish, use high heat throughout. Also, because the green scallion part cooks quickly, it’s recommended to prepare all the seasonings in advance and have them within reach for easy cooking.
2. Stir-fry the white and green parts of the scallions separately to preserve the fresh crunchiness and vibrant green color of the scallions.
