The sea of clouds in Alishan is at its best from November onward. On clear mornings during sunrise, you can witness thin layers of mist swirling around, with fluffy, marshmallow-like clouds tinged with purplish-red hues, a breathtaking sight that draws many admirers. Every November, numerous visitors flock here specifically for this spectacle.

The Alishan National Forest Recreation Area official Facebook page has frequently shared updates about Alishan’s sea of clouds since November. On the afternoon of the 15th, a post featuring the “drifting clouds engulfing Tashan” sea of clouds photo received thousands of likes. The post also noted that the weather has been great these past few days, making it perfect for enjoying beautiful sunrises. One insightful netizen commented: “The sacred mountain of the Tsou people.”

In addition, there’s also the sunset sea of clouds captured on the 13th from the observation deck near Ciyun Temple. The golden-orange glow and rolling sea of clouds formed a striking contrast, and by evening, the sea of clouds by Ciyun Temple created a dreamlike scene that left netizens marveling that it was like a paradise on earth.
