Last updated 2026-09-24 — We dined at this t2 Jin Xiaolu near Xingtian Temple Station back in early May this year. Meiji really liked the ambiance and dishes here—but for some reason, Old K forgot to write about it XD Half a year later, we came back again, so we’re combining our first and second visits into one review.

We dined at this t2 Jin Xiaolu near Xingtian Temple Station back in early May this year. Meiji really liked the ambiance and dishes here—but for some reason, Old K forgot to write about it XD Half a year later, we came back again, so we’re combining our first and second visits into one review.

This was from our first visit—it has a very Japanese style.

They serve not only breakfast but also lunch and snacks. The menu varies by time of day, so do check. Both of our visits were for breakfast.

This is also from our first visit. By the time we came back the second time, in-store photography wasn’t allowed—you could only photograph your own food. Also, they have a policy of not serving children under 12, so please be aware.

This was the breakfast MENU from our first visit.

These are the more recent prices. Some items have gone up slightly. At the bottom of the MENU, you’ll find information about ingredient sources. For bread, they use brands like Wenwen & Meimei and Fulibread. The first time we came, they used Hualien Guo Ham for the ham, but this time it wasn’t available—probably due to higher costs. For drinks, there’s complimentary hot black tea and hot coffee with free refills. The coffee is pretty good, and the tea is quite rich.

Double Meat Sausage & Egg (280 NTD)

This is what Old K ordered on the first visit. Six months later, the taste is a bit fuzzy XD But I remember it being quite good—their dishes are generally light and not greasy. They only offer boiled, grilled, or pan-fried options, no deep-fried. It also comes with fruit and salad, making for a nutritious and tasty breakfast.

Handmade Ham & Tender Egg (240 NTD)

This is what Meiji ordered on her first visit. By the second visit, it was no longer on the menu and had been replaced with Spiced Sausage & Cheese Q Egg. So if you see it and want to try it, you won’t be able to this time XD

What stood out most here was that thick slice of ham. After eating, we even went online to look up Hualien Guo Ham XD Later we found out it’s sold at Taipei Main Station’s underground mall, but it’s not very cheap and comes in rather large portions. We figured we’d buy some during the Lunar New Year instead XD

French Toast (165 NTD), Garlic Baguette (55 NTD)

This time, Old K went for the French Toast. But even before tasting it, he knew it wouldn’t be enough—and quickly added the garlic baguette XD

This is Fulibread’s famous French garlic bread. Old K has been eating it for years, but after the price went over 100 NTD, he rarely gets it anymore. Their garlic butter is genuinely delicious, paired with crispy toasted French bread—it’s really good. Fans can just go buy a loaf directly. Fulibread now has counters in quite a few department stores.

The French toast is quite soft and doesn’t feel greasy at all. The powdered sugar sprinkled on top adds a touch of sweetness without being too sugary.

If you prefer something sweeter, you can add some maple syrup—the aroma becomes even more enchanting.

The ham is only boiled, so the saltiness isn’t too strong. It’s still pretty good, but the previous ham left a stronger impression.

Japanese-style Salmon Ochazuke (250 NTD)

The main reason we came back was because Meiji wanted to eat this.

Before pouring the tea, you can try the salmon flakes rice first. The salty and rich salmon flakes, mixed with chopped green onions and white rice, are actually quite tasty. Turns out Old K just doesn’t like fresh salmon—he’s okay with smoked salmon and salmon flakes XD

Then you pour in the genmaicha.

Don’t add too much at first—the tea is warm, so it’ll be warm when you eat it XD The genmaicha adds fragrance, but the flavor does get a bit diluted.

Finally, add the seaweed on the side, then pour in more tea.

Then take another bite. The taste is pretty mild XD The aroma of the tea, fish, and seaweed blend together. Meiji said it was delicious because she loves genmaicha, seaweed, and salmon flakes. Old K doesn’t care much for any of the three XD So it was just okay for him.

We both had the salad, which is tossed with tangy sesame dressing—it’s pretty tasty.

This is Meiji’s corn tender egg, while Old K had the basil tender egg. The corn gives a nice juicy burst when you bite into it.

K’s Little Reminder: This is a shop that girls will really like—both the atmosphere and the food are great, so it’s quite suitable for a date. You can tell the care put into both the dishes and ingredients; it’s delicious yet not greasy, and you can even get free refills on tea and coffee. Since they don’t accommodate children under 12, friends with kids should definitely take note to avoid disappointment. Old K will come back another time to try their desserts or lunch!
