2016 Northeast Coast Welcomes the First Dawn with Spectacular Light Show & Star-Studded Performance Until Daybreak

As 2016 approaches, have you decided how to celebrate it? For the eighth consecutive year, First Financial Group and the Northeast Coast & Yilan Coast National Scenic Area Administration under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications have joined forces to host a dawn-welcoming event atFulong Beach. A star-studded lineup of performers will sing from 1 AM on January 1st until daybreak, joined by internet celebrity Bean Curd Girl Tsai Huang-Ru as they welcome the first light, along with a spectacular light show to kick off 2016 in style.

A launch press conference for “2016 Northeast Coast Dawn Welcoming – Win at the Start” was held on the afternoon of the 9th at First Bank’s head office, inviting Bean Curd Girl Tsai Huang-Ru—who boasts over 1.62 million followers—to lead the Dawn Girls in performing the “Wall Bang Dance,” giving a sneak preview of the Dawn Fitness Routine. On January 1st, she will join numerous singers in an energetic performance to ring in the new year with the public.

This year’s Fulong Dawn Welcoming event will open its doors to visitors free of charge at 1 AM on January 1st, featuring an impressive lineup including:Bean Curd Girl Tsai Huang-Ru, powerhouse vocalist Wei Jia-Wei, music sweetheart Zhuo Wen-Zhen, Golden Melody talent Wei Li-An, singer-songwriter Zhou Xing-Zhe, electro-light rock bandFranda, plus comedy king and host Chen Da-Tian (Xiao Xia); there will also be stunning light shows along Rainbow Bridge, Azure Avenue, and around the event areato accompany everyone in welcoming the first ray of light in 2016.

The press conference today also featured a food showcase by the Dawn Girls, teasing that there will be eight breakfast trucks, four food stalls, and six game service booths on New Year’s Day to keep visitors entertained while waiting for dawn. Additionally, those who successfully register for the “GO Register Fun” online event onDecember 11th and 12th will receive a free “round-trip train ticket from Taipei to Fulong, a mystery Dawn Gift, and a breakfast voucher”, with 350 limited spots available per day, totaling 700 slots.

Moreover, participants can join the “Gather Energy for Gifts” online activity on the Dawn event’s official website. By uploading a touching photo to the event page or taking a selfie with the event logo at the venue on January 1st and sharing it on the “First Bank The eHappy” Facebook fan page, you could win round-trip flight tickets, hotel stay vouchers, meal vouchers, afternoon tea coupons, and more.

To accommodate the dawn-welcoming event, Taiwan Railways has added special charter trains, with six Dawn Trains departing from Banqiao at 1:25 AM on January 1st, 2016, making stops only at Taipei, Songshan, Nangang, and Fulong for the most convenient and safe journey to greet the dawn.
