Welcome the first ray of sunlight in the sky!*Huaxing Airlines will launch two Taipei–Taitung sunrise special flights and one Kaohsiung–Hualien flight for New Year’s Day 2016, all operated using the 104-seat E190 aircraft,with tickets going on sale precisely at noon on the 10th,round-trip Taipei–Taitung at NT$4,606 and Kaohsiung–Hualien at NT$4,340.

Huaxing Airlines is offering two New Year’s Day Taipei–Taitung sunrise flights,with the special flights operated by 104-seat E190 jetliners featuring a 2x2 seating layout, including only window and aisle seats—perfect for enjoying the sunrise.The flights are scheduled to depart at 6:00 AM, allowing passengers to welcome the first light of the new year high above the clouds.

In line with this year’s policy allowing the use of electronic devices during domestic flights, travelers can capture and record the emotional moment of greeting the sunrise onboard. The sunrise special flight initiative willdonate all ticket sales revenue exceeding NT$1 million to “Hannah’s House,” which cares for abandoned infants under two years old in eastern and central Taiwan.

Han Liang-chung, General Manager of Huaxing Airlines, stated that while the 2016 Happy Sunrise Special Flights offer passengers a chance to witness the first light of day from the sky, the airline also hopes to bring a ray of hope to these infants.

Details for the 2016 sunrise special flights are as follows:
January 1 – Flight AE2016 departs Songshan at 06:00 bound for Taitung; Flight AE394 departs Taitung at 18:50 returning to Taipei.
January 2 – Flight AE391 departs Songshan at 06:00 bound for Taitung; Flight AE394 departs Taitung at 18:50 returning to Taipei.
