Taitung Iron Flower New SettlementStarting on the 26th, a series of exciting New Year’s events will be held, beginning with the “Iron Flower Music Festival” that invites singers Jiyaojun, Sangmeijuan, and the Gaoshi Folk Song Troupe for two days of live music. This will be followed by the “Iron Flower Annual Street Festival,” which runs for three consecutive days from New Year’s Day 2016, taking over the Iron Flower Pedestrian Zone with a host of street performances.
Taitung’s well-known music event, the “Iron Flower Music Festival,” will take place on the platform of the old train station, where visitors can enjoy the beauty of traditional Paiwan and Puyuma music in the open field that once sat in front of the railway tracks. On the 27th, at the same location, performances will be given by singer Suming, Ilid Kaolo, and the Dongda Orchestra.

The Taitung County Government Tourism Department noted that the Street Festival will set up a large painted wall in the pedestrian area, created by a team of local artists.
