Taipei Les Suites Hotel’s Cantonese restaurant, Les Amis, features its top takeaway New Year’s dish this year: the nourishing “Maca Dendrobium Abalone Chicken Pot,” infused with precious herbs, priced at NT$4,280 (for four people), and the tender, melt-in-your-mouth “Mushroom Soft Tofu with Crabmeat,” priced at NT$3,500 (for four people). These two chef-prepared luxurious dishes add a festive touch to reunion dinners. To meet gifting needs, Les Amis also offers five festive gift boxes starting at NT$700 each, including the “New Year Cake Gift Box” (two pieces) symbolizing “prosperity year after year” for NT$1,500; the best-selling “XO Sauce Gift Box” (single bottle NT$700 / double bottle NT$1,400); and the classic luxury “Black Truffle XO Sauce Gift Box” (single bottle NT$1,300 / double bottle NT$2,600).

Taipei Shin Wang Hotel’s Chaopinji Restaurant offers a “Reunion Table Feast” designed for group dining, featuring a Prosperity Platter, various seafood, meat dishes, and chicken stew, each set includes seven dishes, one soup, and a sweet New Year cake, priced at NT$16,800 for ten people. There are also two festive dish sets inspired by Chaozhou and Cantonese flavors, named “Good Luck” and “Prosperity,” priced at NT$8,800 and NT$13,800 respectively, each with five dishes, one soup, and a sweet New Year cake, suitable for six people.

Individual items include the “Supreme Buddha’s Delight,” combining various premium ingredients in one pot, serving eight to ten people, priced at NT$19,800; other soups include “Original Clay Pot Chicken with Shark Fin” and “Eight-Delicacy Buddha’s Delight.”

This year, Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Taipei features two Chinese restaurants—Shanghai Zuiyue Lou and Far Eastern Shang Palace—as well as the Japanese restaurant ibuki by TAKAGI KAZUO, offering premium takeaway festive dishes. The Chinese New Year takeaway meal sets for six people start at NT$12,888, with an additional NT$1,000 dining voucher. The Japanese New Year’s Gift Box (2–3 people) from ibuki by TAKAGI KAZUO is NT$5,888. Individual takeaway dishes range from NT$488 to NT$3,680. Orders placed and paid before January 15, 2016, enjoy a 15% discount. Additionally, the Japanese New Year’s Gift Box (2–3 people) is NT$5,888 each. To stand out from other New Year’s dishes on the market, Taipei Regent Hotel this year makes a grand Western-style beef feast the star of its takeaway New Year’s offerings. From December 14 to January 31, it launches the “American Roast Tomahawk Steak” (NT$6,888) and the “American Prime Roast Ribeye Beef” (NT$6,888) as takeaway New Year’s dishes. Chinese New Year dishes include Taiwanese Hot Pot Banquet, Sichuan-Cantonese Reunion Feast, Shanghai-Style Auspicious Feast, and a Japanese Hot Pot Collection, all priced at NT$6,888. The “Qianfu Mini Manchu Banquet,” featuring 18 appetizing small dishes, is NT$3,888.

Taipei Fuhang Hotel this year offers three set menus: the Wealthy Set (Taiwanese cuisine), the Lucky Set (Zhejiang cuisine), and the Advancing Set (Cantonese cuisine), along with a variety of dishes such as a three-tiered Japanese Lucky New Year’s Meal (Osechi), German pork knuckle, and American BBQ pork ribs. Beyond set menus and à la carte options, Taipei Fuhang Hotel’s Jiangnan Chun introduces top-tier festive dishes, with Executive Chef Liu Yijia presenting the “Premium Mexican Abalone Braised Shark Fin Ribs” (limited to 5 pots, NT$16,888 per pot), featuring premium ingredients and exquisite presentation, targeting the VIP gifting market. Taipei Fuhang Hotel now offers an Early Bird takeaway New Year’s promotion: purchase any of the three Chinese set menus at NT$9,888, and enjoy a 10% discount if ordered and paid before January 2.

Taipei Garden Hotel this year offers takeaway New Year’s series in Jiangzhe, Shanghai, and French styles. The “Prosperous Year Feast – Hot Pot Takeaway Set” is NT$8,888 per set, while the single-order “Chicken and Scallop Stewed Shark Fin” is NT$8,888 per pot, the traditionally made “Premium Buddha’s Delight” is NT$3,888 per jar, the tender “Red Wine Braised Lamb Shank” is NT$1,688, and various rich à la carte New Year’s dishes start from NT$688, including Five Blessings Platter, Dongpo Pork from Hangzhou, Shaoxing Drunken Shrimp, Pan-Fried Halibut, and Vegetable Plate with Country Sauce. Golden Dragon Restaurant and Yuan Restaurant both offer New Year’s dishes. Golden Dragon provides a “Family Reunion Feast” with options for six people (NT$8,888) and ten people (NT$13,888), with the six-person set limited to 200. The reunion feast includes a Red Robe Platter (with suckling pig, dried fish roe, roast duck, jellyfish, and soy sauce chicken), antique-style Buddha’s Delight, red-braised grouper, red pork trotter, red rice cake (or sakura shrimp rice cake), and soft milk buns.

Yuan Restaurant, known for its Jiangzhe cuisine, offers a “Yuanshan Reunion Feast” for ten people (NT$12,888), featuring Five Blessings (including Shaoxing drunken chicken leg, vegetarian mushroom goose, braised beef tendon, stir-fried shrimp, and scallion jellyfish), sweet-and-sour platter, mushroom-stewed chicken, abalone and scallop steamed dumplings, Zhenjiang pork trotter, and Yuanshan red bean cake. In addition to the reunion feast, Yuan Restaurant offers à la carte dishes such as Dongpo Pork with lotus leaf buns (six people, NT$1,200) and the popular spicy beef brisket (five people, NT$800).

The Place Hotel
In addition to offering classic dishes such as “Soy Sauce Braised Chicken,” “Garlic with Bamboo Shoots and Tofu Skin,” and “Braised Abalone with Mushrooms,” The Place Hotel has also curated an exclusive New Year’s Eve menu that includes signature items like “The Place Four Happiness Set,” “The Place Abalone Buddha Jumps Over the Wall,” and the wildly popular Michelin one-star Hong Kong dim sum “Crispy BBQ Pork Buns.” For 2016, the hotel strongly recommends its star New Year’s Eve combo: “Premium Buddha Jumps Over the Wall + Five-Course Feast” featuring soy sauce braised chicken, garlic with bamboo shoots and tofu skin, braised abalone with mushrooms, grilled king prawns, and truffle mushroom stir-fried dried scallops and abalone.

This year, Chef Lin Chin-teh from Xike Lou has introduced both set and à la carte New Year’s Eve takeout menus. The “Prosperity Greetings New Year’s Eve Set Menu” (NT$11,688, serves about 6 people) is perfect for family reunions around the reunion dinner table. It includes five dishes, one soup, and one dessert: “Dong Sauce Seafood with Field Vegetables,” “Virgin Crab Roe with Chinese Cabbage in Soy Sauce,” “Mushroom Tower Stewed with Abalone,” “Grilled Tender Pork Ribs,” and “Zhejiang-style Smoked Anchovies,” along with the soup “Bamboo Fungus Chicken in Clay Pot” and dessert “Health Nut Yin-Yang Cake.” Must-have à la carte dishes include “Buddha Jumps Over the Wall” (serves about 10), starting at NT$6,600 per bowl, and the richly aromatic “Fish Maw Clay Pot Chicken” at NT$3,980.

The Chinese cuisine restaurant Tao Hua Lin at Okura Prestige Taipei offers 2016 New Year’s Eve takeout sets, featuring essential Cantonese dishes. The set menu starts at NT$13,880, while individual takeout dishes start at NT$680.
