Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
Pizza on fire A pizza that looks like the Taipei Dome is served – it’s barely recognizable as pizza. It turns out this is specially made dough that allows it to puff up into a sphere. After being drizzled with orange liqueur and set alight, the entire pizza is engulfed in flames.
The restaurant staff explains that the spherical dough covering the pizza is made using special fruit yeast, which gives it elasticity. The crust not only retains its original flavor but also carries a hint of citrusy alcohol aroma – it’s a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds, making you want to order it without fail.
Located in Taichung, Fidèle Fide is an American seafood restaurant offering dishes such as Boston lobster, three-spot swimming crab, giant clams, and oysters – all freshly caught and cooked. What’s most unique is that here, there are no knives, forks, or chopsticks. Instead, the table is equipped with bibs and gloves, so diners must use their bare hands to enjoy the lavish spread of seafood.
