The Czech Republic unveils a massive skywalk — climb to the highest point and slide down

Adventurous travelers might really want to give this irregular, spiraling sky walk (Dolní Morava Sky Walk) a try. It’s located next to the Králický Sněžník mountain range in the Czech Republic at an altitude of 3,600 meters, right beside a cliff — and the highlight is that there’s a slide in the center where visitors can slide down.

According to the UK's Daily Mail,this unique structure was designed by Fránek Architects, who used wood and steel to craft the walkway while integrating it into the local environment. Some may doubt its stability, but the foundation of the sky walk is anchored 6 meters deep into the rock.

“This architecture represents an abstract path of a nocturnal butterfly in flight,” said architect Zdeněk Fránek.

It opened in early December 2015 and can theoretically accommodate 4,000 visitors at the same time. Though it may look complex from the outside, the sloped design and wide walkway actually allow access for wheelchairs and strollers as well.
