Speaking of uniquely shaped buns, you can’t miss Jinxuan Baozi Shop — reputed to be the first to create watermelon-shaped buns, and extremely popular in Yilan. The outer skin is made with matcha, the red filling crafted from strawberry dough, and the “seeds” and “rind” are formed using charcoal. The multiple textures blend surprisingly well when you take a bite, delivering a rich aroma that firmly establishes it as a top contender in the world of uniquely shaped buns.Share
