The highly talked-about new Yilan attraction “Happiness Transit Station”is being exhibited temporarily in conjunction with the Happy Yilan Lunar New Year event,from February 7 to 14 for just eight days,after which construction will continue, and the official opening is expected around April. Those who want to visit or take photos during this time should definitely make plans to check it out during the Spring Festival holiday！
Located next to the Jimmy Liao Square, the Happiness Transit Station was invited by the Yilan County Government and created by renowned designer Huang Shengyuan,transforming the old site of Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport into an installation art piece using decommissioned buses,and also serving as a sales channel for products made by disadvantaged groups, offering vocational training for people with disabilities, and setting up a charity shop.
▲The adorable and eye-catching giraffe installation art has already attracted many passersby to stop and watch.
The installation artworks in the venue are combined with play facilities such as slides and swings,and have also obtained authorization from the Jimmy Liao team to introduce characters from his new book “Forget to Give a Kiss,” such as adorable giraffes and elephants made from transformed buses.These cute and eye-catching animal installation artworks have attracted many passersby to stop, watch, take photos, and post on social media, making it a new landmark in Yilan.
