The 2016 Lunar New Year coincides with the arrival of the Year of the Monkey. The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has launched the exclusive "Monkey Year Bear Happy" campaign. Statistics show that 8 themed parks are offering amazing deals for those born in the Year of the Monkey or with the surname Hou (侯), including E-DA World’s 599 TWD ticket price for Monkey-year individuals and free admission to the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium in Yehliu for those born in the Year of the Monkey—ensuring everyone has a blast in the Monkey Year!

Overview of Year of the Monkey Exclusive Discounts at Themed Parks

1. Yunhsien Amusement Park
Present proof of being born in the Year of the Monkey to purchase a cable car ride and park entry ticket at a discounted price of 100 TWD.
Present proof of being born in the Year of the Monkey to stay at Yunhsien Hotel and receive a complimentary chlorophyll coffee afternoon tea at Yunhsien’s Guest Lounge Café (gift varies by room type).

2. National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium in Yehliu
During the Lunar New Year period (Feb 8–14), guests born in the Year of the Monkey enjoy free admission.

3. Huoyanshan Hot Spring Resort
Those born in the Year of the Monkey enjoy free admission from Feb 8 to Feb 22.

4. Shangri-La Amusement Park
Those born in the Year of the Monkey enjoy free admission from Feb 8 to Feb 14.

5. Jian Shan Pi Jiangnan Resort
Those born in the Year of the Monkey (born in the ROC years 33, 45, 57, 69, 81, or 93) can present proof for free park entry. Group bookings not applicable.

6. E-DA World
Feb 8–16 (Lunar New Year’s Day to the 9th day): Those born in the Year of the Monkey can purchase tickets on-site for 599 TWD.
Feb 15–29 (The “Monkey” Promotion): Based on Gregorian birthdate—those with the digit “9” enjoy discounts.
One “9” = 699 TWD, Two “9”s = 599 TWD, Three “9”s = 499 TWD, Four or more “9”s = 199 TWD
Those born in the Year of the Monkey can register their personal details on the E-DA World official website starting Jan 31. The first 1,000 registrants enjoy a special ticket price of 99 TWD.

7. Darugo Theme Park
During the winter vacation period (Jan 21–Feb 29): Those born in the Year of the Monkey, those with the surname Hou (侯), and students can enter the park for just 228 TWD (not applicable during the Lunar New Year period, Feb 6–12).

8. Little Kenting Resort
Guests staying at the resort who were born in the Year of the Monkey will receive a mysterious gift during the promotion period.
