Yilan Su’ao – Qili Bay Pearl Milk Tea Cultural Hall
Located in Su’ao, Yilan, Qili Bay Pearl Milk Tea Cultural Hall was the first to create the “light bulb pearl milk tea,” which caused a craze online even during its trial operation phase. But think you can just walk in and get one? They only offer 80 portions per day. If you dine in, you’ll get a light bulb bubble tea with your meal. A single cup is 88 NT$, but the cute light bulb cups are for in-restaurant use only — they can’t be taken away. Those who want to try it should call ahead to make a reservation.

Otto Cafe in Hualien City also offers an “Edison Pearl Milk Tea,” which is also for in-store use only. The shop says the inspiration for the Edison Pearl Milk Tea comes from Edison inventing the light bulb, and one of his famous quotes: “Wonder is the seed of science.” Thus, the light bulb is likened to the human brain, while the tapioca pearls represent moments of sudden inspiration — just like many of Edison’s inventions, often born from everyday needs or a flash of insight.

Changhua – Vitality Healthy Natural Cuisine HolyDetox
Changhua’s Fantasy Light Bulb Drink serves black sugar tapioca pearls with fresh milk, all held in a glass light bulb. The best part? You can take the bulb bottle home after drinking. Since its launch, it has attracted many customers who come specifically for it. Owner Wen Jie says orders are currently fully booked, and light bulb bottles won’t be available until after March 8th. However, you can still enjoy fresh milk with black sugar tapioca pearls — those wanting to collect the bulbs will have to wait a bit longer. Recently, the shop also launched a “Matcha Red Bean Milk” with matcha, red beans, and fresh milk — a “Yuzhen Jintian” (matcha red bean drink). Friends who want to try it, act fast!

Taichung Bumping Rest Cafe Risu Cafe
The "Bumping Rest" cafe in Taichung has also launched a limited-edition lightbulb milk tea, and you can even take the bulb home after drinking it. The shop says they only use German tea leaves and no artificial sweeteners, all to ensure a healthier drink. Only 30 bottles are available per day, so if you want one, be sure to call ahead and reserve. Even more special: if you share the fan page post and like it before 9 PM on March 13, five lucky followers will be randomly selected at 10 PM on March 13 to receive a free lightbulb milk tea.

Located in Xinhua, Tainan, 168 Homestay also offers a lightbulb milk tea, and even more uniquely, a “lightbulb coffee” in flavors such as original and caramel. The shop says it plans to start selling them next week on March 7 and 8, but like the others, supplies are limited daily, so customers need to make a reservation by phone to secure their order.
