Japanese outlets are a must-visit shopping destination for travelers in Japan, offering the chance to snag favorite brands at unbeatable discounts. Recently, Tokyo announced it will host a limited three-day“Tokyo Outlet Week”, featuring over 50 domestic and international brands. Even more enticing, visitors may have the chance to purchase their favorite luxury items for just “1 yen” (approximately NT$0.29)!

The “Tokyo Outlet Week” was a huge hit when it first launched in 2015, attracting over 10,000 visitors, and featured a variety of brand-name clothing and accessories available at the surprise price of just “1 yen,” which sold out quickly. The second edition of the Outlet Week is scheduled to take place from May 13 to 15 this year. Although the discounted brands have not yet been announced, the organizers revealed that there will be over 50 domestic and international brands participating, with discounts ranging from 50% to 90% off.

According to the details already released by the organizers for the 2016 Tokyo Outlet Week,during the Outlet Week, 500 hidden items will be available each day for just “500 yen” — a deal shoppers won’t want to miss. Whether or not last year’s 1-yen surprise will return is still to be announced by the organizers.。

While entry to the 2016 Tokyo Outlet Week is free, the organizers note that visitors must first register their email on the official website (https://tokyo-outletweek.com/) to receive a QR code sent to their inbox, which they will need to present for entry. Additionally, while no men’s products will be sold at the venue, men are still welcome to attend and shop.
