13.5-meter Asia’s tallest all-transparent “extreme slide” to open in Tainan on the 31st

Asia’s tallest extreme slide will officially open on the 31st at the Shihku Ren Tang Cultural and Creative Park in Tainan. With a total height of 13.5 meters, the slide is taller than the one at the Kaohsiung Science Park and features a semi-transparent design that takes riders through two loops before landing. The speed of the slide will only be known after the official opening.

The industrial-style, semi-transparent “Asia’s tallest extreme slide,” intended for adults only, stands as tall as a five-story building. The ride features two loops, and riders must sit on a mat to reduce friction and fully experience the thrill of high-speed sliding. Its fully transparent design also allows riders to look straight out to the outdoors during the descent, adding to the excitement.

Shihku Ren Tang Cultural and Creative Park explained that this extreme slide is a giant childhood memory slide designed for “big kids.” It is complemented by an aluminum furnace catwalk as the main pathway to enhance the mysterious atmosphere of exploring the old sugar factory. The original space was a sugar residue storage room next to a chimney, which has now been transformed into a creative slide area. Along with a vertical wall, it provides an ideal spot for young people to try out extreme sports like abseiling and rock climbing.
