Attention fans of Kongling One Chicken: Starting April 15, phone reservations will be accepted daily from 14:00 to 17:00 for seats between April 15 and May 31. Reservations for June will open on May 15, and from May onward, reservations for the following month are tentatively scheduled to open on the 15th of each month. Additionally, reservations are available for five specific time slots each day at 11:00, 12:20, 14:00, 17:00, and 18:30, with a limit of 10 groups per slot.

Rui YongfY, the owner who introduced Kongling One Chicken, explained that the soup base is made by simmering over 10 types of vegetables for five hours, resulting in a lighter taste compared to typical chicken soup bases. As for the chicken, 45-day-old free-range birds are used, ensuring particularly tender and flavorful meat. When you dine at Kongling One Chicken, you’ll first be served with a special chili sauce, sweet-spicy sauce, signature dipping sauce, kimchi, lettuce (both kimchi and lettuce are available for refill), minced garlic, and mildly spicy sticky peppers. Then, a whole pre-cooked chicken is brought to your table. Once you’re ready, the staff will begin tableside service, using scissors to cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces. After cutting, they’ll heat the pot again until the chicken and broth come to a boil, and then you can start eating.
