Make up with the police officer！ Many adults tell children, “If you don’t behave, I’ll call the police to take you away!” This has unfairly given the police a reputation for being cold and stern. To boost police-community interaction and improve the public image of police stations, the Taitung County Police Department organized the “Happy Taitung, 56 Police Stations by Bicycle” event. It invites everyone to ride bicycles to visit 56 local police stations. Those who collect stamps from all of them even have a chance to win an iPhone 6S. The event also promotes eco-friendly, low-carbon tourism and lets participants experience the warmth and beauty of Taitung.

Participants will receive a passport booklet. During the event period (June 1 to August 31), they can ride their bikes to visit various police stations in Taitung to collect stamps. The first person to collect all 56 stamps can win an iPhone 6S, while the second and third place winners will receive prizes worth NT$8,000 and NT$5,000 respectively. There are also seven regular prizes and dozens of participation awards. The stamp-collecting passport can also be kept as a souvenir.

However, the police department reminds the public that only bicycles are allowed—no electric or motorized vehicles. Although Taitung’s roads are relatively simple, safety should still be a priority during the trip. The 90-day event encourages a leisurely, environmentally friendly bicycle journey, with the goal of letting people “wander” and experience the true beauty of Taitung. Don’t rush just to collect stamps. The prizes are valuable, but the eternal memories made exploring Taitung are even more meaningful.

Registration is open from now until May 31. People can sign up at Taitung Precinct, Guanshan Precinct, Chenggong Precinct, and Dawu Precinct, or check details at the“Taitung County Police Department Official Website”. The event is held during the summer vacation to encourage more young people to engage in healthy activities, promote energy saving and carbon reduction, and showcase the beauty of Taitung’s scenery and people.
