Taiwan’s popular drinks scene has a new creative offering again – in the Zhengxing Street area of Tainan, a Korean-style fried chicken and rice cake specialty store run by a Korean female owner has developed“Star-shaped Yuzu Tea,” handcrafted and packaged in a star shape, with a daily limit of 60 bottles.It has recently become a hit among Tainan’s beverage offerings, attracting many who specifically visit just to try this authentic Korean yuzu tea.

The Korean food specialty shop “Kim Dafei Korean Fried Chicken” has gained some popularity in the Zhengxing Street area of Tainan. The 29-year-old Korean female owner, who fell in love with a Taiwanese man, moved to Taiwan to get married and live. At first, the Korean owner, who couldn’t speak any Chinese, gradually learned the language and adapted to life in Taiwan. “I wasn’t used to it at first, but Taiwanese people are very nice, the food is delicious, and I’ve really come to enjoy life in Taiwan.”

Wanting to introduce more Taiwanese people to authentic Korean street snacks, she opened a small shop in 2013, specializing in Korean fried chicken, fried pork belly, and crispy rice cakes. Recently, she also launched the new “Star-shaped Yuzu Tea,” using imported Korean yuzu jam and handmade with honey. She makes it cup by cup every morning. The star-shaped packaging bottles were specially designed by a manufacturer, coming in three different colors. With a daily limit of 60 bottles, the drink is in extremely high demand and often sells out shortly after the shop opens.

In addition to its cute appearance, the Korean owner has also specially designed three Korean-language versions of the “Star-shaped Yuzu Tea,” with phrases that say “I love you,” “You’re beautiful,” and “You’re handsome.”This allows customers to not only enjoy a tasty drink but also express their feelings to friends or loved ones.
