(May 12, 2019, Beijing) On Mother’s Day, May 12, the 2019 Great Wall Marathon ignited passionately in Huairou, Beijing, drawing nearly 10,000 participants who ran from Jiugukou to the finish line at Mutianyu Great Wall, enjoying the allure of the marathon amid spectacular landscapes.

After completing the challenging runs across various distances from 4.2195 km to 45.195 km, the runners who finally reached the finish line looked forward not only to receiving their medals and finisher packs but also to the services and activities in the finish area. As the first full marathon event to start in Beijing this year, the 2019 Great Wall Marathon was organized by the Beijing Athletics Association and the Huairou District Sports Federation, and hosted by Tendence Media.
