Happy Stay: Vote for Your Own Touching Experience

This round of the "Staying at My Place, the Most Touching PK" encourages participation from legally registered homestays, with netizens casting their votes online.

Tourism Bureau Director-General Lyu Shyh-zhen stated at the launch press conference that the "Happy Stay — Hundred Kinds of Touching Experiences" campaign is one of the key events under the bureau’s "Travel Taiwan. Touching 100" initiative. It is another large-scale public engagement activity following the Night Market PK, with the overall theme centered around experiencing the touching side of Taiwan’s accommodation offerings.

This round of the "Staying at My Place, the Most Touching PK" aims to highlight the unique features of Taiwan’s accommodation industry through a competition among businesses. The format invites all legally operating hotels and homestays nationwide to participate. The first phase runs from October 13, 2010, to December 12, 2010. Participants are asked to upload their videos, photos, and descriptions of the most touching elements of their stay — at least 100 words — based on judging criteria such as "Most Delicious," "Most Fun," "Most Comfortable and Thoughtful," and "Most Creative," to the PK website.

The second phase is an online voting period lasting one month, from November 13, 2010, to December 12, 2010. The top 100 hotels and homestays will be selected based on a combination of public online votes, support from friends and family voting groups, and webpage views, and will be awarded the Happy Stay Trophy. The third phase is the “Top 10 out of 100” selection, where a professional judging panel will review the entries and choose the 10 most touching and happy accommodations from the top 100. These 10 winning Happy Stays will receive a trophy and will also be eligible for a total prize pool of NT$500,000.

The seaside vibe of Kenting has given rise to many homestays with exotic charm.

During the campaign period, there will also be a monthly draw. As long as members of the public vote online for their favorite Happy Stay, they can participate in the monthly draw. The Tourism Bureau will offer 200 “Century NT$100 Coupons” and gifts worth over NT$20,000.
