Embrace Lohas Living & Hospitality: An In-Depth Tour of Hsinchu

The “2010 Hsinchu County Mountain-Sea-Lake Tourism Season” is divided into three major themes: “Lohas Living, Hospitality, and In-Depth Travel.” The “Lohas Hsinchu — Explore the Sea and Sky this Summer” main event will feature a rock concert at 3:00 p.m. on October 24 at the Xinwawu Cultural Cluster Preservation Area, with performances by popular artists such as Jolin Tsai, Rainbow Times, Forward Band, and Hebe Tien, inviting the public to enjoy the summer together.

Additionally, on October 30, an “Eco-Heritage Exploration & Leisure Walk” guided eco-heritage tour is planned at the Xinfeng Hongmao Port Rest Area. The entire activity will be conducted via bicycle, led by professional guides who will take families and travelers on an in-depth tour of natural and cultural attractions including the Xinfeng Mangrove, Xinwawu Hakka Cultural Preservation Area, and Zhubei Lotus Temple. This promotes healthy, enjoyable tourism and leisure experiences in Zhubei and Xinfeng. The “Hospitality Hsinchu — Tea-Pounding, Traditional Opera & Ancient Path Stroll” theme combines with the “Beibu Hakka Festival.” At 3:00 p.m. on October 16 at the Beibu Cultural Plaza, the first-ever grand “Thousand-Person Tea-Pounding” event will be held. Tea-pounding masters from the Beibu Charm Business Circle will also provide hands-on guidance, helping participants experience the joy of making traditional Hakka pounded tea and learning about this unique culinary delight, along with enjoying a performance by the New Yongguang Opera Troupe’s First Group, offering a different taste of Beibu culture.

The “Explore Hsinchu — Love the Indigenous Homeland & Hot Springs” theme focuses on promoting in-depth tourism in the Jianshi and Wufeng indigenous villages. On November 13, during the “Jianshi Beauty Hot Spring & Gourmet Tour,” visitors will explore the famous Neiwan Characteristic Business District, experiencing Neiwan cuisine and culture at attractions such as Neiwan Station and the Liu Hsing-chin Cartoon Museum, while also enjoying the highest-voted hot spring establishment selected by online voters. Another itinerary, “General Loves Snow — Wufeng Culture Tour,” is scheduled for two sessions: November 20–21 and November 27–28. It includes famous sites such as the Saisiyat Cultural Museum, Guanwu National Forest Recreation Area, Snow Tiger Farm, Zhang Xueliang’s Former Residence, and Sanmao Dream House, offering visitors a full immersion in Wufeng’s most distinctive natural and cultural beauty.
