The ten top tourist towns and three featured specialty towns, selected through a four-month vote, have started launching various promotional activities since April, including accommodation, shopping, and travel package deals. For example, Daxi and Ruifang are offering 199 NT packages. Beitou, Meinong, and Jiaoxi have partnered with local lodging businesses to provide discounted stays, with Beitou’s couple’s inn offering discounts as deep as 53% off. Other areas are also collaborating with local food and souvenir vendors to offer consumption discounts, gift-with-purchase promotions, and more. These not only help visitors save money but also attract more crowds to these towns.

Daxi and Ruifang, known for the “Presidential Town” and “Shuǐjīnjiǔ (Water-Gold-Nine)” regions respectively, have both launched 199 NT discount packages. From now until May 31, Daxi Township is offering the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Cihu Line 199 Tour Package,” which can be purchased at Zhongli Bus Terminal. The package includes one 1-day pass, one fun pass, and a 50% discount on unscheduled entry to the Back Cihu area. Ruifang Township plans to launch a limited edition “199 All-in-One Super Value Package” in mid-May, where visitors can take a train or bus from Taipei to Ruifang and then transfer to a special tour bus to explore Shuǐfèng Cave, Jinguashi, and Jiufen. Additionally, Miaoli is offering a 100 NT fare discount for the Old Mountain Line sightseeing train from April 28 to May 13.

For accommodation deals, Beitou, Dajia, Meinong, Jiaoxi, and Jiji have partnered with local lodging businesses. For instance, Beitou’s Pacific Beitou Hot Spring Resort and Couple’s Inn are offering 50% and 47% off stays, respectively. Dajia’s Dajia Hotel provides double suites for 1,000 NT and quad suites for 1,400 NT. Meinong’s Moonlight Hill Vanilla B&B and Meilv Ecological Park both offer 15% off weekday stays. Jiaoxi’s Zhongguan Jiaoxi Grand Hotel and Lanyang Hot Spring Hotel have 45% off weekday stays. Jiji is also working with Chong’er Elegant Cottage and Jiji Farm B&B to offer free Sun Moon Lake boat tickets with stays or weekday cabin packages.

Additionally, towns like Lukang, Anping, Kinmen, Ruisui, and Xinyi have partnered with local eateries and souvenir shops to offer discounts and gift-with-purchase deals. Taipei’s Xinyi District has teamed up with Taipei 101 to offer discounted observation deck tickets. Ruisui’s rafting operators are offering 200 NT off rafting trips.
