The special exhibition "Encounter the Great Future – Earth’s Environmental Changes," organized by the National Taiwan Museum, is on display until October 14. Through virtual reality, immersive experiences, and cultural creativity, it presents three main themes: “For Modern-Day You – The Footprints of Urban Hunters,” “For Truth Seekers – Experiments on Global Warming,” and “For Those Moving Toward the Future – Scripts of Tomorrow.” Drawing lessons from the journey of human civilization, it encourages reflection on current global challenges, anticipates possible future trends, and inspires the public to face the “future world” with optimism and initiative.

The museum will also host the “2012 Taipei Earth Day” Green Art Market on the museum square for two days starting April 13. The event is organized around four major themes: “Food and Diet,” “Energy and Production,” “Ecology and Land,” and “Renewal and Restoration.” Additional activities include the “Lawn Lecture Hall,” “Earth Music Concert,” “Earth Cinema,” “Encounter the Future Film Festival,” and “Snap & Act: Earth Defense Station.” Free admission to the museum is offered on both event days.
The National Taiwan Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Regular admission is NT$20, and concessionary tickets are NT$10. A single ticket grants entry to both museums. Also on display are “Time Machine – Stories of the Past” (until May 27) and “Herbs and Daily Life” (until July 29). Meanwhile, the Land Bank Exhibition Hall (located diagonally across from the National Taiwan Museum) features permanent exhibitions including “Paleontological Grand Exhibition – The Epic of Life and Dance of Evolution,” the “Land Bank Historic Restoration Room,” and the “Land Bank History Room.” For more details on all events, visit the museum's official website at www.ntm.gov.tw or call 02-2382-2566.
