The Tourism Bureau's North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration has been promoting the Northern Coast as a wedding photography destination for eight years. To date, not only locals but also international tourists from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Southeast Asia have specifically come to the Northern Coast to take wedding photos. To promote the Northern Coast’s scenery, the administration today appointed Richie Jen as its ambassador and announced that from now until October 31, it is calling for submissions of wedding photography works from "happiness ambassadors"—wedding photographers—offering a top prize of NT$60,000. Additionally, the "Artistic Journey Through North Coast – 2012 Photography Contest of the Northern Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area" is open to the general public, with submissions accepted from now until October 31, featuring a top prize of up to NT$30,000.

Every year from spring to April–May, the skies over Guanyinshan are bustling with activity as raptors such as the crested goshawk, grey-faced buzzard, Chinese sparrowhawk, and cinereous vulture soar overhead. With the eagle-watching season and the opening of the Guanyinshan Forest Canopy Trail, an inauguration ceremony will be held on the canopy trail on April 21. The Guanyinshan Visitor Center has also planned nature interpretation tours, lectures, and engaging eco-themed activities. On four Sundays — April 22, April 29, May 6, and May 13 — there will also be "Raptor Ecology Lectures." The newly opened Guanyinshan Forest Canopy Trail is a "viewing-style" wooden boardwalk, distinct from typical skywalks, featuring a gentle slope throughout, making it suitable for family outings.

In response to the promotion of low-carbon tourism, the Tourism Bureau's North Coast & Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration has also planned a Taiwan Tourist Shuttle – Crown Northern Coast Route bus service connecting sites from Tamsui to Keelung, expected to launch in early May. The route passes through Tamsui MRT Station, Shalun Beach, Sanzhi Visitor Center, North Coast Scenic Area Administration Office, New 18 Kings’ Sons, Yun Garden, Ju Ming Museum, Shitoushan Park, Yehliu Geopark, Jade Bay, Dayu Industrial Area, and Keelung Railway Station. Additionally, starting April 21, the existing Orange No. 20 bus line will be extended to the Guanyinshan Visitor Center to make it more convenient for the public to explore the Northern Coast.
