Travelers who love Macau’s cultural heritage and natural beauty can now experience the charm of the city not only through group tours and independent travel, but also by choosing hiking. This year’s Macau Hikers event will be held on November 10 (Saturday). The activities are divided into a 30-kilometer and a 10-kilometer route, with registration fees of HK$1,500 (approx. NT$5,830) and HK$1,000 (approx. NT$3,887) respectively. Teams must consist of four members, and registration is now open.

This hiking event is divided into two categories: the Challenge Route (30 km) and the Leisure Route (10 km). Teams must consist of four members, with a limit of 300 teams. Participants can complete the course by walking, hiking, or jogging at their own pace. The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on November 10, with both the start and finish points at the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel’s CotaiExpo Hall A. International participants can enjoy discounted rates when staying at The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel.

The 2011 Sands China Macau Hikers event attracted around 250 registered teams, with a total of 1,000 participants, including approximately 30 international teams. Additionally, about 85% of the participants in the previous event were local Macau residents, including corporate groups and families. The oldest participant was 68 years old, and the youngest was just 8. Event website: www.macau-trailhiker.com
