Looking to embark on an outdoor lightweight journey? Japanese artisan bag brand MSPC has introduced the MELD series with a rich VINTAGE vibe, giving outdoor style enthusiasts more choices. In terms of materials, the main body uses a woven fabric of vertically twisted cotton and horizontally twisted acrylic threads, combining shorter 100% cotton fibers with longer acrylic threads, and treated with paraffin wax on the surface for enhanced water resistance. Parts of the bag are made from 1000d CORDURA, a patented material by U.S.-based INVISTA, offering abrasion and tear resistance up to 2–3 times that of regular nylon, with a water-repellent finish. Accessories such as leather components are oil-treated for flexibility and dyed with natural vegetable dyes, then polished to achieve softness and a glossy finish.

The collection also adopts a lightweight size concept to reinterpret the traditionally bulky impression, ensuring that all items—from backpacks, waist bags, totes, to crossbody bags—are just the right size. It retains the authentic use of sturdy leather, with horizontal stripe designs that allow for carabiner hooks and key rings. Leather buckles complement the paraffin-treated fabric beautifully. Using low-tech materials and contrasting tones, the series creates a strong vintage feel.
