The Taipei Michelin Guide, which has garnered attention from Taiwanese consumers, the food industry, and hospitality businesses, was first published in Taiwan in mid-March 2018. In 2019, many are watching to see when this year’s star-studded culinary rankings will be unveiled. The 2019 Taipei Michelin Guide is confirmed to be released on April 10.
Before the release of the 2019 Taipei Michelin Guide on April 10, the Bib Gourmand (Bib Gourmand) list will also be announced two weeks earlier, similar to the timing of last year’s release. This also helps generate interest among general consumers and food enthusiasts in these announcements.
In the inaugural edition of the Michelin Guide Taipei, 110 restaurants were recommended, with 20 receiving stars. Which restaurants will retain their stars and which will be newly elevated to star status not only sparks discussion among the general public but also holds high topical value for Taipei's city tourism promotion.
Additionally, the 2019 release event will be held at the Mandarin Oriental, just as it was last year. On the evening of the announcement, there will be a Michelin Starry Night Banquet priced at 600 TWD, which can be ordered through the official Michelin website.
