The seven major themed classic travel routes of the “Shining East Coast 101 Featured Pearl Highlight Stores” campaign have been launched, including valley wilderness, blue coastline, art & romance, island vibes, Taroko line, and indigenous tribes. Currently, there are also special offers from 32 featured pearl highlight stores, including a buy-one-night-get-one-night-free deal at Hualien Howard Plaza Hotel (Howar Plaza)! Additionally, from now until December 31, visitors to the 101 featured pearl highlight stores in the East Coast region can not only participate in stamp-collecting for prizes and lucky draws, but also enjoy extra raffle opportunities when visiting stores by bicycle during the Taiwan Bicycle Festival (November 10–18)!

To promote tourism development in the East Coast region, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications has organized the “Shining East Coast 101 Featured Pearl Highlights” store selection campaign this year, inviting everyone to discover unique East Coast businesses. Bilingual (Chinese and English) informational brochures featuring the 101 East Coast pearl highlight stores have been printed and are available at major airports, TRA station tourist service centers, featured pearl highlight stores, the Tourism Bureau’s Eastern and Central Taiwan Area Administration offices, as well as on the campaign’s official website (www.101pearls.com.tw).
Before the end of this year, simply print the pearl store promotions page from the official website to enjoy discounts at 32 stores, including complimentary desserts, winter melon tea, welcome gifts, discounts, spending-based gifts, and buy-one-night-get-one-night-free deals at international-level hotels. Furthermore, from November 1 to December 31 this year, customers who patronize these stores can collect one pearl stamp per visit. Once you’ve collected stamps from three different categories, you can redeem souvenirs, lodging vouchers, and other prizes at various visitor centers of the East Coast National Scenic Area Administration.
