This year’s Sanxing Silver Willow Festival in Yilan will be held on December 29th. The Sanxing Farmers’ Association has specially designed unique experience tours, scheduled for four sessions on December 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th. The one-day tour titled “Good Fortune and Wealth Are Coming” rural experience, originally priced at NT$1,500, is now available at a special discounted price of just NT$999 through the Sanxing District Farmers’ Association.

Duan Pengfu, head of the Promotion Division at the Sanxing District Farmers’ Association in Yilan, said that agricultural products from Sanxing such as green onions, silver willow, high-mountain vegetables, and magnolia tea have long been recognized for their quality. With rural experiences growing in popularity across Taiwan, the association hopes this tour will allow visitors to enjoy the beautiful mountains and waters of Sanxing and create unique memories of rural life.

The “Good Fortune and Wealth Are Coming” experience tour includes harvesting silver willow branches and seasonal vegetables in the fields, picking plants believed to bring prosperity and festive flavors like mustard greens and radishes. For lunch, the Sanxing District Farmers’ Association will serve an authentic Sanxing green onion set meal. In the afternoon, participants can DIY their own natural lip balm, visit an organic dream village that practices pesticide-free, chemical-free, and fertilizer-free farming methods, and try making fun rice noodle snacks to relive nostalgic flavors.
