To promote the rich cultural charm of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the outdoor promotional event “Let’s go to Gyeonggi-do, South Korea ~ Walk Through Gyeonggi-do Spring with Miss Flower” will be held today (23rd) and tomorrow (24th) from 14:00 to 19:00 on the first-floor plaza of Vieshow Cinemas in Xinyi District.

To help Taiwanese audiences understand the rich cultural features of Gyeonggi-do, the event has specially invited the “Anseong Namsadang,” a performing troupe that originated in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, in the late Joseon period. The Namsadang refers to groups that perform traditional street acts such as folk games, tightrope walking, mask dances, puppet shows, and variety performances across markets and villages in Korea. Scenes commonly seen in classic Korean dramas can now be witnessed live at this Gyeonggi-do event. At 15:30 and 17:30 each day, there will also be live demonstrations of bowl spinning and tightrope head-turning techniques by the Namsadang.
In addition, visitors can experience traditional Korean children's games like shuttlecock kicking and pitch-pot tossing. Trying on beautiful Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) earns you an instant photo. Several travel agencies will also be on-site to provide travel consultations for Gyeonggi-do, along with plenty of free Gyeonggi-do tourism information available for pickup. Korean mascots, including the "Big Head Doll" and "Apeo Doll," will appear throughout the event, dancing to popular K-pop music and interacting with the public.
