To celebrate its official joining of the Oneworld alliance starting February 1, 2013, Malaysia Airlines is offering a three-week Spring Early Bird promotion from now until March 13. During this period, consumers can purchase economy class tickets for travel from April 8 to June 25, 2013, and business class tickets for travel from April 8 to August 31, 2013. The promotion includes the most competitive economy round-trip fares starting at NT$4,888 to destinations such as Penang, and business round-trip fares starting at NT$9,888.

This promotion covers not only Kuala Lumpur, which will increase flights to 11 per week starting February 19, and Kota Kinabalu, with 7 flights per week, but also offers discounted fares for all major routes in West Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Australia, and the Maldives. Additionally, Malaysia Airlines has raised the free checked baggage allowance for all cabin classes from now on: First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class limits have been increased from 40kg, 30kg, and 20kg to 50kg, 40kg, and 30kg respectively, allowing passengers to travel worry-free about excess baggage and enjoy more shopping.
