The government of the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory, recently informed our office in the UK that the Cayman Islands have agreed to grant visa-free treatment to our nationals. This measure has been confirmed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), stating that holders of ordinary passports from our country (passports must include an ID number) can enter the Cayman Islands visa-free for tourism, with a stay duration of up to 30 days. Upon arrival, travelers may also apply to immigration officers for a longer stay, with the maximum stay not exceeding six months.

The British Cayman Islands are the seventh British Overseas Territory to grant our nationals visa-free (or visa-on-arrival) treatment, following other territories such as Bermuda, Gibraltar, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Saint Helena, the Falkland Islands, and the Virgin Islands. This brings the total number of countries and regions where our nationals can enjoy visa-free (or visa-on-arrival) entry to 132.
The British Cayman Islands are located in the Caribbean Sea and consist of three islands, including Grand Cayman and Little Cayman, covering an area of approximately 264 square kilometers with a population of about 52,000. It is one of the most economically prosperous regions in the Caribbean, with its main industries being tourism, financial services, and shipping. The per capita national income is comparable to that of developed Western countries.
