With Japan’s cherry blossom season just around the corner, the vibrant and splendid pink showers of blossoms are expected to drive a spring travel boom to Japan. Starting April 3, EVA Air will operate two direct flights per week to Okayama, Japan—on Wednesdays and Saturdays—offering more options for those planning to go cherry blossom viewing in Japan. It also makes it more convenient for travelers who want to visit the hometown of Momotaro and see Korakuen, one of Japan’s three most famous gardens.

As for Okayama, which is just a 45-minute ride on the Shinkansen from Osaka, most travelers only know about Korakuen. In fact, Okayama has many other attractions worth visiting for those who love Japanese tourism, including its architecture, culture, food, and lifestyle goods. For example, there's the mysterious and spiritual “Saijo Inari Shrine,” where the variety of omamori sold is almost beyond imagination. There’s also the “Manekineko Museum,” home to the largest collection of fortune cat statues, and Okayama Castle, where you can try on gorgeous ancient kimono for free—perfect new discoveries even for frequent visitors to Japan.
In addition, the Okayama City website offers detailed Traditional Chinese content, including comprehensive introductions to each attraction and recommended itineraries.
