The highly anticipated and most thematically distinctive group wedding in the nation, the 8th Miaoli County Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding, will open registration on March 16. This year, the Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding introduces six happiness gifts and, in celebration of the 102nd year of the Republic of China, is calling for 102 couples. Newlyweds from across the country are welcome to gather at the Miaoli Tung Blossom Lohas Park on April 21, where they can pledge their “Love Forever” vows under the sea of tung blossoms.

The wedding gifts for couples at the Tung Blossom Wedding never fail to amaze. This year, the Miaoli County Government has carefully prepared six happiness gifts: “A Handmade Two-Jin Silk Quilt Symbolizing Everlasting Love,” “A Set of Tung Love Forever Ceramic Couple Cups Engraved with the Couples’ Names,” “A One-Night-Two-Meal Lake-and-Mountain-View Accommodation Voucher for Miaoli,” “A Set of Oriental Beauty Tea Gift Boxes,” “Ten Boxes of Happiness and Harmony Tung Heart Wedding Cakes,” and “One Piece of Luggage from a Miaoli Self-Created Premium Brand.” All are distinctive Miaoli specialties rich in Hakka culture and creativity, conveying boundless blessings.
The Miaoli Hakka Tung Blossom Wedding actively promotes Hakka wedding customs and culture, recreating traditional Hakka wedding rituals. The warm yet grand wedding ceremony, paired with the romantic tung blossoms dancing in the wind, has won the hearts of newlyweds nationwide. Registration has sold out quickly every year since opening, so this year a total of 102 couples are expected to be accepted. Registration will be accepted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM starting March 16 at the Miaoli County Tourism Service Center.
