Today (the 14th) is White Day. On this day that symbolizes promises and commitments, have you and your partner already planned where to go? The New Taipei City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau recommends romantic North Coast spots perfect for photos, including Fisherman’s Wharf in Tamsui, the Little White House, and Queen’s Head in Wanli, allowing couples to create happy memories on White Day.

Located on the right bank of the Tamsui River estuary, Fisherman’s Wharf, along with Bali and the 13th Cultural Site Museum on the left bank, has always been a popular dating spot for couples. Especially when walking across the landmark of Fisherman’s Wharf—the white-sail-shaped Lover’s Bridge—paired with the orange-red brilliance of the setting sun, it creates a unique riverside landscape unique to New Taipei City. At night, the bridge is surrounded by colorful lights, and the LOVE light sculpture in front of the Lover’s Bridge is one of the favorite photo spots for couples.

In addition to being a historic site for reminiscing about the past, the Hobe Fort is also a hidden gem for locals in Tamsui. The well-preserved fort walls surrounded by lush greenery offer a uniquely tranquil atmosphere, and taking photos in the stone-paved passageways inside the fort symbolizes eternal love witnessed by history. The former Tamsui Customs Officer’s Residence, known as the “Little White House,” features eleven semicircular corridors that are neat and elegant, and its beautiful white architecture leaves a deep impression. In front of the Little White House, you can gaze at the Tamsui River estuary and the Guanyin Mountain scenery, making it another popular spot for wedding photography.
Sanzhi is famous for its Hengshan Terraced Fields. Standing among the terraces, the layered, interlocking geometric patterns are perfect for photos. Recently, spring cherry blossoms have begun to bloom, and pink cherry blossoms can be seen swaying in the wind in front of the Sanzhi Visitor Center. The Mediterranean-style architecture represented by Shimen Wedding Square, the artistic sculptures at the Jinshan Chu-Ming Art Museum, combined with the natural seascape of the North Coast where sea meets sky, make it feel like you're abroad. Yehliu, located in Wanli District, New Taipei City, attracts visitors to take countless photos with its gracefully shaped Queen’s Head, mushroom rocks, and candlestick rocks, along with the blue sky and sea.
