Due to the arrival of spring and the warm winter effect, calla lilies on Taipei’s Yangmingshan Mountain have begun to bloom one after another. The sea of flowers between the valleys creates a dreamlike landscape.

Located at an altitude of 670 meters in Yangmingshan, Zhuzihu Valley was originally a barrier lake formed after a volcanic eruption. After the lake water receded, it left behind fertile soil. The annual calla lily season always attracts travelers to the mountains.

Zhuzihu enjoys uniquely favorable climatic conditions, making it the best environment for growing calla lilies. Every early spring, large swaths of white calla lilies bloom beautifully. Travelers can admire the flowers, pick them in the fields, and take stunning photos.

The calla lily blooming period in Zhuzihu, Yangmingshan, runs from early March to the end of May each year. This year’s calla lily season kicks off on March 29 and runs until April 28. Travelers can bring their families or partners up the mountain to spend a wonderful holiday with the calla lilies.

In addition to calla lily fields, the farms around Zhuzihu also grow different flowers throughout the seasons. Whether it’s sunny or rainy, each offers a unique feel, especially when shrouded in mist, creating a poetic mountain-water view.
