Taiwan’s most beautiful station, “Dolong Station” in Taitung, and the unique locomotive hotel “Fan-Shaped Roundhouse” in Changhua, both historically significant sites, have been temporarily closed for maintenance and upgrades from mid-March and early April respectively, to ensure proper care and restoration.

Known as the most beautiful train station in TaiMaLi, Dolong Station offers sweeping ocean vistas and is distinguished by its striking red railings on the platform, winning the hearts of railway enthusiasts and visitors alike. To ensure safety and elevate the quality of tourism, the station’s viewing platform and overall recreational facilities are temporarily closed for reconstruction from March 11 to June 11.

Changhua’s unique railway cultural landmark, the “Fan-Shaped Roundhouse,” is Taiwan’s only roundhouse. After completing nostalgic journeys, historic steam locomotives are housed here, adding significant historical and cultural preservation value to the site.

Changhua’s Fan-Shaped Roundhouse has been temporarily closed for visits from April 8 to May 7, 2019, due to the natural aging and damage of wooden tracks. The closure is to facilitate sleeper replacement work and repairs to the visitor walkways. Those hoping to visit the one-month renovation of the fan-shaped station and the three-month closure of Dolong Station will need to wait a little longer.
