The Royal Geographical Society, founded nearly 200 years ago, is a pioneer in geographical scientific research, boasting the world’s most extensive and largest collection of geographical archives, with over two million historical items. These include more than one million maps, 500,000 photographs, 250,000 books and periodicals, manuscripts, as well as significant artifacts dating back to 1482. The Galapagos Islands expedition aboard Silver Galapagos is divided into western and central-northern routes, each lasting one week. The western route departs from Baltra Island, visiting numerous islands in the west, south, and east, including Santiago, Bartolomé, Isabela, Fernandina, Floreana, San Cristóbal, and Santa Cruz, before cruising back to the starting point.
