Yilan Happiness Transfer Station Opens on the 24th – Old Train Station Transforms into a Dreamy "Jimi World"

The previously opened Yilan Happiness Transfer Station has finally officially reopened after a major renovation. This transformed old bus station holds many people’s memories — it was truly an important transportation hub many years ago!!! It used to be the starting point for travelers coming from all directions. This time, the park’s theme features characters from Jimmy Liao’s picture books *The World Doesn’t Need to Worry About Me* and *My World Is You*, with outdoor play areas featuring elephants, giraffes, and other large-scale installations that also double as art pieces. Indoors, there’s a cute black dog ball pit — come and see how it has transformed.

Now you can walk straight here from Yilan Railway Station, playing and exploring along the way. They might as well rename this street “Jimi Boulevard”!

This child is luckier than the two next to the fuzzy bunny — they didn’t have any shelter from the rain and had to stand there for ages!! But hey, this really is a functioning bus stop with bus information displayed!!! Though, calling this stop “Old Yilan Store” is a bit odd — shouldn’t it just be called Happiness Transfer Station?

As part of this big transformation, the station has become a Jimi merchandise shop and also includes a paid play area. The indoor play zone charges a 150 NT entry fee (same price for adults and kids), and there are also online pre-sale passes (500 NT for individuals, 600 NT for families).

Inside is a super huge ball pit!!

At the back is the play area that opened during Lunar New Year.

Nearby, there are torn paintings by Huang Chunming — these are also very lovely, artistic works full of childlike wonder. They’re made using colored paper, which is pretty amazing.
