Just the thought of a layered cake melts dessert lovers’ hearts—the soft, fluffy yet distinct layers always win people over. But what if that same layered cake came in the adorable form of a cartoon character?Auntie Kathy’s Dessert Shop in Tainanrecently posted aTotoro-patterned layered cakeon Facebook, sparking heated discussion among the public. Though not officially on sale yet, it has already melted the hearts of dessert enthusiasts.

“Totoro” has always enjoyed a certain level of popularity, but no one expected him to be transformed into a layered cake. The entire cake features Totoro’s signature gray as the base, sprinkled with white powdered sugar, and uses toppings to create the body patterns, whiskers, and eyeballs—bringing Totoro to life with an extremely cute and lifelike appearance. Although it’s still in the trial production phase and the actual ingredients haven’t been finalized, Auntie Kathy has confirmed that once the cake goes on sale, details will be announced on the fan page. Fans will just have to wait a little longer.
