The Revival Aviation Group recently received official notification from the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA), granting approval to establish Taiwan’s first low-cost airline. In addition to introducing a homegrown low-cost brand to Taiwan’s aviation market, this move will also usher in a new era for the island’s aviation industry. The Revival Aviation Group has also launched the “Name Taiwan’s First Low-Cost Airline” campaign, inviting the public to suggest a name. The selected name, upon successful trademark registration, will win an exclusive grand prize: unlimited free flights on the airline for ten years, in any cabin class.

This new low-cost airline, 100% owned and operated by the Revival Aviation Group, is not only Taiwan’s first homegrown low-cost brand but also the first entirely new low-cost carrier tailored to the Taiwanese market and local consumer habits. The new company plans to primarily operate a fleet of new A320 and A321 aircraft, offering flights with durations of up to five hours. Subject to regulatory approvals and rigorous safety preparations, the airline aims to commence operations within one year.
To celebrate obtaining approval to establish Taiwan’s first low-cost carrier and to enhance public engagement, the Revival Aviation Group has specially launched the “Name Taiwan’s First Low-Cost Airline” campaign. Submissions must include both a Chinese and English name, along with a description of the naming concept (within 300 characters). Citizens of the Republic of China are encouraged to get creative and submit their ideas. If the winning entry is selected by the judging panel and officially approved for trademark registration, the naming winner will enjoy unlimited free flights on the airline for ten years, in any cabin class.
