The 2013 New Taipei City Happy Christmas City today announced a stellar lineup that surpasses the scale of New Year’s Eve concerts and performances at the Taipei Arena. The four Night of Joy concerts will be led by EDM queen Jolin Tsai, ballad prince JJ Lin, diva Jolin Tsai, and king Show Luo, joined by 32 other artists including Da Mouth, Yoga Lin, Fish Leong, and MP Magic Power, featuring top-tier pop stars from the Taipei Arena to headline and get the New Taipei City Happy Christmas City party started.

The four “Night of Joy Christmas Concerts” will be held on December 7, 8, 21, and 22 at the New Taipei City Civic Plaza. Each concert’s impressive lineup also includes Super Star 梁文音, Rainie Yang, Fang Wenshan, Stefanie Sun, Dream Girls, Yang Pei-An, and Michael Wong, promising an electrifying night for all attendees. For those unable to attend in person, the organizers have arranged live streaming on SET TV, as well as simultaneous broadcasts on Good Radio and YouTube (December 7 & 8 from 18:30–21:30, December 21 & 22 from 18:00–22:00).
Besides the star-studded concerts and online giveaways, the New Taipei City Tourism Fan Page is also running a lucky draw promotion. From November 26 to December 23, visitors to the New Taipei City Fan Page can select their favorite star and leave a comment saying, “I want to party with them at the 2013 New Taipei City Happy Christmas City!” to be eligible for limited-edition Christmas gifts, including autographed albums by Jolin Tsai, Show Luo, Jolin Tsai, and JJ Lin.
In addition to the star-packed concerts and online giveaways, the New Taipei City Government will host a Christmas Circus Street Parade Carnival in Banqiao District on December 14. The parade, led by the dashing New Taipei City Mounted Police, will feature YOYO Family members, cartoon stars like SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, and Squidward, the New Image Creation Troupe, corporate mascots, and more, forming a grand procession of around 600 people. The parade will kick off at 15:00 on that day, traveling along Chongqing Road, turning onto Zhongshan Road, and ending at Civic Plaza.
To ensure smooth access to and from the event venues and safe returns home, the New Taipei City Government will implement traffic controls in the surrounding areas (including sections of Zhongshan Road, Chongqing Road, and Xinzhan Road) during the street parade and concert periods.
