To welcome 2014, Yidaguo World’s “2014 Purple Glory Yidaguo Countdown Party” fireworks show has been designed to run continuously for a full 520 seconds, symbolizing the year 2014’s romantic message of “520 — I love you forever”! With a romantic theme paired with 3D stereoscopic special effect fireworks, the spectacular display not only delivers an impressive impact but also combines precise musical beats with large-scale aerial fireworks. Set against the backdrop of 1950s and 1960s rock music, classic songs by Elvis Presley blend with Yidaguo World’s unique architectural scenery to create an exquisitely detailed audiovisual fireworks show. Additionally, the countdown will feature the diva Elva Hsiao, who hasn’t performed at a Taiwan New Year’s Eve countdown in seven years, exclusively joining everyone at Yidaguo World to celebrate the most romantic and dazzling fireworks spectacle of 2014.

Over the years, Yidaguo World’s spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks have captivated the attention of all on-site audiences, and this year’s display is even more magnificent than before. The “Light and Fire Shadows” musical fireworks show of the “2014 Purple Glory Yidaguo Countdown Party” features purple and gold as its main visual tones. It was custom-made for Taiwan by domestic and international fireworks teams, and according to the standards of Japan’s Spark Festival judging, it recreates the champion burst of the Japanese Spark Festival — the “High-altitude Golden Crown Colorful Petal Waterfall” and “Silver Crown Dynamic Waterfall”! In addition, this year’s 3D stereoscopic special effect fireworks at Yidaguo World are mid-to-low altitude launched special effects, presenting a variety of styles. These aren’t just beautiful and spectacular fireworks, but are also integrated with themed musical contexts. When rock music plays, dazzling fireworks will burst forth in the 3D stereoscopic special effect area. There’s a fireworks design pattern called “Angel’s Wing” that takes the audience soaring through the vast night sky, tiger tail fireworks that resemble volcanoes for an immersive experience, bead-spitting fireworks shaped like twin peaks to evoke the breadth of high mountains, fan-shaped bouquet fireworks resembling ocean waves to bring the feeling of the sea, and flash-tail fireworks forming the shape of the Thousand-Hand Guanyin, giving audiences the thrill of scaling mountains and diving into seas, with an intense visual and audiovisual impact.

This year, three themed chapters of musical fireworks have been planned, connecting throughout Yidaguo World, with the widest launch area in Taiwan. The fireworks will be set off in areas such as Ambassador Theatre, Crowne Plaza Kaohsiung Yidaguo, and European Business Plaza, transforming Yidaguo World’s sky into a dazzling array of dreamy colors. The first 60 seconds mark the first chapter, “Golden Splendor,” featuring nearly three minutes of high-altitude 3D stereoscopic special effect fireworks. The second chapter, “Dazzling Brilliance,” uses colorful bouquets, flash-type special fireworks, high-altitude hydrangea fireworks, thousand-wheel color flowers, and dynamic peony displays. The third chapter, “Fire Shadow Dancer,” showcases rotating and trailing fireworks, triple-core changing chrysanthemums, brocade crown chrysanthemums, and other exciting elements.

This year, Yidaguo World will continue for the fifth time to host the most star-studded and most attended New Year’s Eve countdown party in southern Taiwan. The “2014 Purple Glory Yidaguo Countdown Party” will be hosted by the powerhouse duo Hu Gua and Tian Xin. The lineup of performers is stellar, including the super-high-energy band MP Magic Power, 831 Band, powerful belter Peng Jia Hui, Jia Jia, talented singer Yan Jue, Wen Hao, Bii Shi Shu Jin, and many more taking turns on stage. Electronic music goddess Xie Jin Yan will also deliver a sizzling and stunning performance, while dance queen Elva Hsiao returns after seven years to close out the countdown with a high-energy performance. The “2014 Purple Glory Yidaguo Countdown Party” will be broadcast live on December 31st at 7:00 PM on China TV Channel, and at 6:30 PM on China TV Digital Variety Channel.
